Slow Food journey in summer

Immersing yourself in the world of slow food in summer is an unforgettable experience for the whole family in the picturesque Lesachtal and Gailtal valleys in Carinthia. Here, culinary discoveries merge with active adventures to delight parents and children alike.

In the small, traditional bakery of master baker Thomas, children become little temporary bakers when they mould their own pretzels during a baking course and proudly taste them after baking. The aroma of freshly baked salted pretzels and the bakery becomes an experience for the senses.

On an idyllic mountain farm and in a herb hut, young explorers learn the art of food production first-hand. From making a refreshing herbal drink that has the flavour of cola to producing their own butter - it's not just the palate that gets active here, but little hands too.

Parents are not just spectators, but active participants. Together with the children, they discover the secrets behind the food that ends up on the table every day. An educational and enjoyable experience that promotes an understanding of sustainable nutrition.
